FurLines Reception for Tapicap

This bespoke FurLines Reception, designed and manufactured for Tapicap.com in 2017, masterfully integrates ergonomic functionality, striking aesthetics, and high-end materials. Drawing from Cleaf Hub by Kanelli in Piraeus and Tapicap Carpets’ premium offerings, it transforms lobbies into welcoming focal points.​

Ergonomic Design

Ergonomics drive every detail, ensuring comfort for reception staff and visitors. The 75cm height and gently curved 60cm-deep counter support natural postures, minimizing wrist and back strain per ergonomic standards. Generous knee recess (35cm high, 25cm deep) accommodates diverse user heights, with under-desk shelving for printers and storage to maintain clutter-free access. Soft-rounded edges prevent injuries, while sturdy base stability handles daily foot traffic—ideal for offices or hospitality venues.

​Aesthetic Excellence

Visually captivating, the desk’s clean L-configuration (180x100cm span) conveys modernity and warmth. Light wood-grain facade in champagne hues evokes natural serenity, paired with crisp white accents for a fresh, upscale vibe. Subtle leather insets add tactile luxury, harmonizing with open layouts. Material Highlights

Superior materials guarantee longevity and luxury. Core is Cleaf Yosemite S010 faced panel—synchronized Scots pine texture on moisture-resistant chipboard (18mm laminate, matte finish)—sourced from Kanelli’s k_hub, Piraeus. It offers anti-fingerprint durability and authentic grain depth. Real leather panels from Tapicap Carpets, genuine cowhide with premium tanning, provide soft, breathable surfaces resistant to wear—perfect accents on returns and edges. Low-VOC, sustainable choices from these Greek leaders ensure eco-conscious appeal.

KrossBand Cabinet – Cross-Form Media Console

KrossBand Cabinet is a striking modern TV cabinet designed for living rooms, featuring the signature “cross” motif that defines its geometric forms and storage innovation.

The cabinet’s defining feature is its dramatic intersecting X-form created by diagonal wood panels slicing through the white structural frame, forming four asymmetrical storage zones. This geometric division yields two slanted push-to-open doors on the left, accommodating AV receivers and gaming consoles, while the right side offers open niches for soundbars, vinyl, and decorative objects.​

Crafted from premium oak veneer with precise mitred edges, the warm wood tones contrast sharply against the matte white lacquer frame, enhanced by recessed cable channels and ventilation slots hidden within the cross intersection. Elevated on slim tapered legs, the 180cm wide × 45cm high × 45cm deep profile supports TVs up to 75 inches while maintaining visual lightness through negative space and balanced proportions.​​

The design draws from brutalist structural honesty — celebrating joints and mass relationships — while incorporating Scandinavian material warmth, making it both gallery-worthy and family-practical. Subtle detailing like soft-close mechanisms and magnetic door catches ensure silent operation in open-plan living areas.
