This project covers the custom design of office desks and a conference table for WORX Constructions, a steelwork company based in Athens, Greece. The brief was to create a workspace that visually communicates the company’s core material – steel – while still feeling warm and comfortable for everyday office use.
The main concept was to balance cold and warm materials: exposed steel frames echo the structural elements used in their construction projects, while wooden work surfaces introduce a tactile, human scale suitable for long working hours. Carefully placed cement-textured panels complete the composition, so that a visitor can understand the nature of the company’s work at first glance.
Each piece of furniture is designed with a strong, angular silhouette that references steel frameworks and industrial detailing. Integrated storage units, cantilevered tops and continuous base frames give the desks and conference table a dynamic, architectural character, turning the office into an extension of WORX Constructions’ brand identity rather than a neutral background.
