KiDom was conceived as a gentle invitation for children to turn their room into a safe, personal universe where play, rest, and learning blend seamlessly. Each piece is shaped like a small house, so that the bed, the desk, and the wardrobe feel less like furniture and more like friendly shelters that keep kids company throughout the day.
The soft, rounded geometries and the saturated colors are meant to echo the way children draw their own dream houses: simple, bold, and full of warmth. The roofs, circular windows, and keyhole details add a storybook quality that encourages imagination, while still remaining calm and uncluttered so that the room does not feel overwhelming.
Ergonomics was a core design driver. Desk and shelving heights are tailored to children’s scale, making it easy for them to reach books and toys independently and to adopt healthier postures while studying or playing. Spacious storage volumes in the wardrobe and bed help parents keep the room organized, while low, accessible elements invite kids to participate in tidying up as part of their daily routine.
Materials and proportions were chosen to feel robust yet reassuring, with smooth surfaces and carefully rounded edges to support safe everyday use. KiDom ultimately aims to support the emotional world of the child: a reassuring “home within the home” that respects their body, nurtures their creativity, and grows with them from early playtime to their first attempts at focused study.
